A technological breakthrough has forever changed the scope and scale of space travel. Tension on earth builds as the inhabitants realize that the vast distance between stars has never been an obstacle for inter-planetary travel. The earth has always been exposed to the threat of an alien invasion.
The Space Force is commissioned to find them, before they find us. Steve Jenners, Captain of the Galaxy Charger, has been sent to an isolated corner of another galaxy to look for evidence of life. Dark and eerily quiet, he and Tammy Rogers, a beautiful civilian over the research lab, initiate a forbidden romance. Just as this relationship heats up, they discover an inhabited alien world.
Questions quickly arise What makes an alien, an alien? What makes a human, human? Who or what should be feared? How does an alien world's belief in God converge with the faith of those who inhabit the earth?
With tensions rising and destruction looming, faith and forgiveness is compared and contrasted to Fear and Aggression.

This book got off to a slow start. I felt like I had to trudge through the first several chapters. I was curious enough about a few things to keep reading. I am so glad that I did. I ended up loving the rest of the book. A very imaginative story line that kept me guessing at the end. This books story concept was so different from anything I have ever read. Kudos to the author.Product details

Fear and Aggression eBook Dane Bagley Reviews
The prologue is good, although a bit repetitive. The rest of the story jumps around, without any cohesiveness to it at all (at least as far as I made it which was 23%). I made my self read as much as I could in order to rate this book. I gave it one star for 2 reasons (1) I had to MAKE myself read it, and (2) just could not MAKE myself finish it. I'm surprised it was put into print.
This book keeps your interest throughout. You want to know what will happen next. Well written book that I recommend.
As an Lds member myself I had no problem with the premise, but the character development was awful, it was written on a grade school level and I had trouble finishing
The book.
Verbose, truly terrible writing. Really poor dialogue and characterization. Behavior of the crew on board the star ship is right out of early 20th century pulp sci-fi.
DB has written a novel of American ingenuity. A way to travel in space is discovered and the results are amazing. Then so are the people who
are not of Earth. This is an excellent novel for the genre.....ER
I read a hand full of books every week and tend to go for the war in space crowd but needed a break from the repetitive violence. I bought Fear and Aggression not sure how it would go but am very pleased with it. I not only reads differently (less "adulty") but was a breath of fresh air in plot and expression.
Captain Steve Jenners, having just lost his parents and sisters to a drunk driver, leads a mission to search for intelligent alien life in another galaxy. He and his crew find a civilization and bring an alien onboard to study, hoping to make scientific breakthroughs, but instead learn lessons of love, forgiveness, faith, and redemption.
In the tradition of Orson Scott Card's "Speaker For The Dead", the author effectively delivers a spiritual message wrapped in the clothes of a science fiction space adventure. The characters were well developed, the plot a subversive take on alien abduction stories, and the book moved right along up to the unexpected conclusion--keeping me guessing until the very end.
This book got off to a slow start. I felt like I had to trudge through the first several chapters. I was curious enough about a few things to keep reading. I am so glad that I did.
